The words we speak can change the course of someones life. Words are powerful and transformative. In this series we will reclaim an ancient practice that can truly bring life to our families, friends and even total strangers that God may bring our way.
Words with Life: Part 1 (Pastor Robert Gelinas) from Colorado Community Church on Vimeo.
Can you think of a time when someones words literally changed the direction of your life?
It’s not John Goddard it’s John Gottman

Hello Pastor Gelinas!
This message touched my heart! As I sat in the pew listening to your message, it brought back memories of my grandmother’s advice. While growing-up, my grandmother would remind me to keep my mouth closed if I could not find anything “good” to say. As I think back on this directive, I realize that she was trying to save me and others from the hurtful words that leave our mouths. And, you know what? It worked and it still works. Although I have not always followed her advice, it is like a seed planted deep within my soul, that reminds me to be careful with my words. Words can be poisonous and filled with death, instead of joyful and filled with life. Can you imagine what peace would blanket this world, if we all just tried a little bit harder to speak life? Many blessings to you and yours!
This is such a timely series; I have felt God’s spirit really convicting me to work on my speech and making sure that my words are chosen carefully and that they are uplifting even when I am criticizing. I cannot wait to grow much during this series.
Thank you for this weekend’s sermon. I am teaching that blessing to my four children, told them what each line meant (I actually took notes), and prayed it over them before they went to sleep. This is an awesome idea and I thank you for giving me something I can incorporate into my children’s lives. Looking forward to the rest of them.
