As Christians, God calls us to speak only words that build up and benefit others (Eph. 4.29). Becoming a student of the blessings in the Bible is a great way to develop this practice. Here’s a list of my top blessings from the Bible to file away in your memory bank. As I said in a recent sermon, let us memorize so we can improvise.

Did I miss any of your favorites? Are there any you would add?

Thank you for the time you spend with the Lord, to spent with us, to train us.
Just wanted to let you know that I painted the blessing from Numbers on my bedroom wall. The kids were asleep when I did it, but I am willing to bet they will want it in their rooms too. I’m going to go through all the ones you listed and paint them all over my house.
Great concept!
The message on Saturday was confirmation for what God has been speaking to me. Thank you for allowing God to use you.
Thanks, Pastor Robert for the list of blessings. I never realized how much I missed the Aaronic Blessing until you mentioned it on Sunday. The blessing in Hebrew has been playing in my head since you reminded me of it. Another favorite blessing of mine has been 2 Timothy 1:7.
Thank you for your conviction about blessing our children. I have been very diligent to try to be more positive around my children and then all of my family. I feel like I am even more aware of how emotionally damaged we are and how much we need blessings and encouragement. Praying for changes in our lives!
Oh, and I can’t believe I forgot James 1:12. This one has been the theme of so many Christian songs in these trying times. Last night I was thinking about how SOOO many songs on all of the Christian radio stations are encouraging all of us to persevere, endure, to wait for God, and that the suffering if just for a short while, etc. I was thinking we are definitely in a time of great suffering and that God is preparing us for the greater suffering that is yet to come. This is indeed a good time to be meditating on God’s blessings. Not only to heal our emotionally damaged hearts/souls, but to help us be strong during the upcoming trials. AMEN!
Great words of encouragement!
Thank you Pastor Robert,
These blessings, bible study, purpose class, the choir, a peripheral analysis of of church finances, the outreach programs and especially your sermons lead me to know in my heart that I need not do anymore due diligence or seek additional prayer time with God over a new church home. This is my new church. I look forward to becoming more involved and beginning to use the gifts talents and dreams God instilled in my heart years ago to help this church increase its impact locally and globally. May God Bless you in all you do. Make it a great day! Bill Mazer
Yay!
