Summary…

In the Bible one prayer is prayed more than any other: “Lord, have mercy.” And God never refuses this prayer.

The Mercy Prayer examines dozens of times in the Bible when people pray this prayer, including King David’s heartfelt prayers for mercy found throughout the Psalms. You will be immersed in the truths that God is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in love.

Throughout the centuries, Christians have discovered that it is possible to pray this prayer of mercy—this request for a miracle—with every beat of our hearts. We desperately need mercy and God desires to lavishly give it. But there are strings attached. God grants mercy with the expectation that we, in turn, will be merciful people.

Everybody needs mercy.  The hope of my heart is that this message makes it to death row and the White House and everywhere in between.

  1. I loved “Finding the Groove”. It was such a blessing. Can’t wait to read “The Mercy Prayer”. You write like you speak and I truly appreciate that. Of course, I love listening to you speak. Thanks for your insight and love.

  2. This little chaplet takes less than fifteen minutes to recite and is a most powerful prayer in times of need or praying especially for someone else. It is said on the Rosary beads. We have also included in the links the 9 day Novena to the Divine Mercy which starts on Good Friday and ends on the first Sunday after Easter and a page with a variety of Divine Mercy Prayers for all types of situations. They can both be found from the links above.
